Padlocks and puddles

A few hundred yards from our house, at the end of the old town where it plunges a couple of hundred feet to the sea below, is a steel fence - covered with padlocks. Our mission is to find out why.

Nido Aurora, where we are staying is a beautifully renovated old town house in the heart of the historic part of the town.

Unlike most rental properties which are furnished with a view that it will be ruined by renters, this has been superbly finished with top range IKEA furniture and fittings. The only things that aren't brand new are antiques, the bed, the writing desk upstairs and a very wobbly dining table.

This is the view I had when recording this week's blues show for REM FM.

And here is the Burratta I mentioned yesterday.

It was night of gales and torrential rain. The noise diminished by the 2 foot thick walls but when we got up this morning every North facing window had leaked. Frantic mopping but our Chtistmas cards that we had on the window sills are looking very soggy.
